ENGL 4153 Capstone English Seminar 3 credits This seminar will introduce students to a variety of careers that English majors, both immediately following college and with additional training in a variety of graduate school programs. Students will be encouraged to examine career options, possibly with the help of interest inventories, look for internships, and plan courses with an eye to a future career. It will also discuss graduate school studies, the GRE, and graduate school applications. In addition, a requirement of the course will be the development of a research project of senior-level significance. It will ideally be taken in the first semester of the senior year, and must be taken before graduation. The major post-test, will be taken in this seminar. Prerequisite: Junior or Senior standing or permission of the Division Chair.
