ENGL 3023 Language Structure and Skills 3 credits Examines the principle elements of English language structure, including but not limited to a thorough review of the fundamental elements of the sentence-parts of speech and patterns-and the foundational structure of the paragraph as a building block of coherence. Once a foundation is laid, subsequent lessons explore more complex structures and relationships with a view toward developing a personal writing style. Prerequisite: ENGL 1003 Freshman Composition I
