EXSC 4500 Exercise Science Internship 3 credits required; up to 6 credits may be completed Directed professional field experience in exercise science for variable credit (0 to 12 credit hours, preferably in multiples of 3 hours; one credit hour = 40 contact hours). May be in one or more placements. May be repeated up to three times for credit. A minimum of 6 hours of Internship hours is required for graduation. Designed to give the exercise science major practical work experience. Prerequisites: senior standing; students must apply one semester prior to the semester in which they wish to intern; approval by the department is required; a contract is required; and student must have a current CPR certification throughout the duration of each internship experience. Note: Students who receive financial aid from any source including federal or state aid or veterans’ or military benefits may be personally responsible for the tuition/fees for this course when repeating it for credit. Contact the Office of Financial Aid or the Veteran’s Services Representative in the Office of Academic Records for more information prior to registration.
