HIST 4703 History Capstone 3 credits A course in which the student earns credit by either (1) an academic option, which focuses on the guided research, writing, and presentation of a major history research project on a topic of individual interest, with attention given to research methodologies, issues of historical interpretation, and the Christian perspective; or (2) an internship option, which focuses on working and serving as an intern with a local museum, historical site, school, or governmental agency, with the goal of gaining firsthand experience with public history, teaching, or government. Prerequisites: senior status. Note: Successful completion of this writing intensive (WI) course can meet a Tier 2 QEP graduation requirement.
