ENGL 3173 Professional Writing 3 credits Professional Writing aims to prepare students to be effective writers in their professional careers. It helps students to develop workplace writing skills which will help them to understand to apply the rhetorical principles guiding and underlying workplace writing practices. This course will introduce students to the basic issues and elements of technical writing, including but not limited to defining and analyzing workplace-writing problems, writing various technical documents (such as memos, proposals, letters, reports), and developing basic electronic writing skills. Prerequisites: ENGL 1003 and ENGL 1013 .
