CRJS 4233 Terrorism 3 credits This course examines terrorism and the response to this threat (i.e., counterterrorism). Students will explore broad themes and topics relevant to terrorist attacks, including: defining terrorism, religious terrorism, domestic terrorism, terrorist motives, strategies & organizations, use of weapons of mass destruction, strategies for combating terrorism, intelligence collecting, and anti-terrorism awareness training. The goal of the course is to develop a shared understanding and intellectual framework that can assist students in understanding this critical subject.
