CRJS 4203 Police Tactics

3 credits
This course acquaints students with the various tactics used by patrol officers. Students will explore the proper use of deadly force, tactical approaches to unknown risk and high-risk situations and suspects, and the correct procedures for building and vehicle searches. Additionally, students will learn how to de-escalate situations through verbal judo and learn how to protect themselves in CQB (close quarter battle). Prerequisite: CRJS 2283.
